Prayer Ministry
The Prayer Ministry is committed to prayer and intercession for the needs of Compass Bible Church. In so doing, we share the burdens of those who are struggling as they face trials and afflictions such as illness, physical disability, losses, or difficult and uncertain circumstances. As our prayers move the riches of God's supernatural grace and His mercy and power are displayed, we share the ultimate joy of rejoicing and glorifying Him with praise and thanksgiving.
Home and Hospital Visitation Ministry
The Home and Hospital Visitation Ministry is committed to caring for the needs of our church body through their physical presence. Their purpose is to visit and pray over those who are preparing for surgery, those who are in an illness at home. Our purpose is to provide encouragement and support through our physical presence and prayer and to be a tangible resource that represents the care and concern of Compass church as well as the love of Christ that is demonstrated through us.
Greeting Cards
Sending greeting cards is an integral part of the Care Ministry. Its purpose is to reach out to individuals who are hurting and in need, expressing the love of God through words of encouragement and Scripture. Our desire is that God would use the cards and sentiments to bring comfort, courage, strength, and hope to those who are going through difficulties such as illness, loss of job, or other personal loss. Cards of congratulations also go out to families who have just welcomed a new baby into their home.
Meals Ministry
The Meals Ministry provides meals for those in our church family who are in difficult or challenging situations that would be blessed by a home cooked or purchased meal. We believe this is a vital resource as it constitutes an outward expression of care and concern by the members of this ministry to those in need. Our goal is not only to lighten the burdens of those in need, but to allow them to experience the love of Christ through the ministry efforts.
Quilts Ministry
The Quilts Ministry exists to create and sew quilts designated for individuals who, through our prayer ministry, are receiving prayer as they go through a challenge in their lives due to an illness, loss or other difficulty. The quilts are meant to be a tangible reminder of the care and concern our Compass church family has for them. While they have practical use as a source of warmth and comfort, our ultimate desire is that as they are used for that purpose, they will also be a vital source of spritual comfort that will both stregthen and encourage them as they consider the heartfelt prayers they represent.
