What a concise and clear message on parenting, wish I had been reminded so many years ago. But God is faithful….so I thank you for your prayer for those of us who have already gone through those years as well….still learning after all these years….....

What a great end to the series, Pastor Mike! I wish we would have been in a church with a pastor like you, when our kids were growing up. But as you said, grandparents can be very influential in their grandchildren’s lives. Thank you for writing a wonderful Bible study for children. I will be sure that my grandchildren have a copy in their home. Since Karine home schools, she can use it in her Bible curriculum!

Just a comment too regarding your message yesterday Pastor Mike…though I am a grandparent, it touched my heart to be reminded of what I can do and how I can be praying. I just spent a week in Charlotte with my grandkids and I couldnt but help be reminded of my own grandparents who so tenderly took time with me to teach , memorize, pray, a live out their faith before me. Influenced me greatly up until their 90’s. A life well lived in the Lord is such a great example to the next generation. Thanks for the series, we didnt do the parenting perfectly, but we are grateful to the Lord that so far the outcome has been such a blessing, our children each walk with the Lord and our children are bringing our children up in the teaching of the Word. I was able to send them your messages and they appreciate it greatly as all resources with help in doing what is right in parenting is always greatly needed.
I agree with Nonie, wish I had those kind of resources when I was going through, but it gives me great hope and great ideas of how I can touch my own grandchildren even though they are very far away. Thanks for the encouragement from the Word. Thanks for being faithful to what the Lord has called you to, teaching us and to your own family in being an example.
In our Saviours love
Cherie

Another awesome sermon I just caught up on~May 18!  I see The Word so true in my children’s lives, learning to correct and discipline, guide and share with them brings joy to all.  Discipline came easier when they were small.  But, our bigger test was as they grew to find something painful enough to make the point.  God is good and we learned to make improvements along the way.  :)
