Sermon Text — Romans 4:1-5

1. Chari Morrow says:

This is the clearest and most succinct sermon I have ever heard explaining the seemingly contradictory passages in the Bible that discuss faith and works.  I plan to listen to it over and over; so that I can articulate the message clearly to others who are confused or have been taught error regarding faith and works; AND that I continually police my motives for doing good.  Thank you!

2. Nonie Stoecklein says:

Thank you, Pastor Mike for explaining so clearly, about faith and works. I have had many discussions with a family member who is Mormon. She always came back with the James passage, that faith without works is dead. I have tried to explain to her that I am saved by faith in what Jesus did on the cross and that there is nothing I could do to earn it. This sermon made everything so clear!

Your example of keeping the law because we love God, and that it is the right thing to do; and the example of being obedient to the flight attendants was a great analogy.

I especially enjoyed having church in the kitchen of the friends we are staying with, that do not attend church. What a blessing that we can be in church, no matter where we are staying!
