2. Michael Osgood says:
I was in town from Modesto for a visit, and by chance heard your broadcast and attended on Saturday Night. I really appreciate your clear teaching. My mom and brother will be attending in the future. Thank you for your uncompromising faithful teaching of God’s Word. I will attend when ever I am in town.
May the Lord continue to bless your effort.

1. Ed Personius says:
Pastor Mike,
I appreciate your teaching. Your comments on how the thief on the cross was a pure example of grace stuck in my head. As a professional writer and part-time songwriter, the idea wouldn’t stop turning in my head. Here is what came out.
The Dying Thief
Out on a windswept hill
I hang and wait my turn
I know it’s not by my will
I receive what I have earned
I lived how I chose
I took what I desired
I never stopped to ponder
Just how I became a liar
At my side there hangs a man
In silent pain and sorrow
Beaten beyond description
We’ll be dead this time tomorrow
But he’s innocent I swear that man is innocent
Why do you people stand there
Which story will you tell
How you mocked and then demanded
He come down and prove himself
Some are laughing some are weeping
Some are stunned and some are mourning
Some will take his flesh and blood
Some will never heed the warning
But I said
“remember me, from on your throne remember me”
then He turned and looked at me
from battered face and bloodshot eyes
and he said “Today you’ll be
with me in paradise.”
That’s not what I deserve
I deserve this execution
But at the place they call The Skull
I received my absolution
And as I gasped for my last breath
I knew there was no condemnation
And so the last word that I spoke
Was only “salvation”
