Pastor Mike, was able to access the sermon today after getting home from a trip. I want to thank you for teaching on sanctification.
I wrote down the question. What is derailing my sanctification? Your examples were really good about assembling together, giving biblically, and even fasting with self denial. Self discipline is so important in the Christian life. but knowing we have the Holy Spirit who strengthens us as we walk by the Spirit and not the flesh. To strategically offer our bodies to righteousness and not to unrighteousness, keeping ourselves busy to the work of the Lord for His agenda and not our own. It truly is an act of the will to desire Gods way more than my own. Its a battle. such as the example of David and Bathsheba.
Like so many the tongue is a fire that can corrupt the whole body set on fire by hell? whoa! praising and cursing? same tongue? even bbq pastor on Sunday? Lord may it never be, these things ought not to be…. and may I never do with the help of self control with the Spirit fruit in my life.
Sin that crouches at the door, trying to master my life, no Christ is my master King of Kings and Lord of Lords I can face this battle with confidence.
What a great verse 1 Cor 10:13 and the context is great and clear…written for our example and we are free from sins penalty, by grace He steps into our temptation and provides a way of escape.
In conclusion that you spoke in hope, we truly can move forward in our sanctification in and by Gods grace. The battle belongs to the Lord. But my favorite verse about what God does and what we do Phil 2:12&13;very clear and concise, thank you for concluding that, so often we do not hear a clear message on sanctification( the ongoing life of it) and I appreciate your message from Sunday. Look forward to Sundays message coming up. Thanks for teaching us what we need to hear, true substance that matters from the heart of God to mine!

tough words but they need to be said. Keep proclaiming the whole truth without sugar coating. The sound is not in sync with the video.
