This is for you Pastor Mike….I agree that if our children are commenting on scripture of the day we should be also so that we are modeling what we expect them to do. My competative spirit is in full mode….lets show Pastor Bobby and our High School students that we can do this too!!! On a more seriuos note, Tim and I are blessed to be able to never miss your messages. We happened to be on vacation this past weekend and love that we can watch you on U-stream. What a blessing.

I was very convicted about my priorities, by point #3 of the outline. I need to concentrate more on the. R. M.& M. Researching more, Memorizing it more, and Meditating on a biblical truth more often.

During my Christian life at other churches I was always astounded by the number church members (including senior members - such as deacons) who were frank in admitting that they had not read the entire Bible once in their lifetime. At first I thought it might have been an anomaly but through the years I sadly realized that it was rampant within Christianity. How very sad. I remember leading a home group Bible study on the book of Daniel and a deacon of 15 years indicated that he had not read the book nor studied it in his Christian life of 25 years. My sadness was difficult to disguise. In addition only one of the 20 or so participants had any research books such as a concordance. Later, when looking at a survey produced by the Barna group that only 41% of Christian adults believed that the Bible was accurate - it was easier to understand the terrible condition of the modern day church. I thank you pastor Mike for emphasizing the importance of reading the word of God not just once but over and over in order that we understand the totality of scripture and its directives from our Heavenly Father and the importance of following those directives in our daily lives. It is a life-saving message!!

Hello Pastor Mike,
My wife, Adriana and I attended our first service (together) at CBC, Sunday 01/11/09. I myself attended my 1st service at CBC the week prior. I was so impressed by your teaching that I insisted that she accompany me to the following weeks service to see what had re-ignited my fire. She quite reluctantly agreed to join me and was more moved than I could’ve imagined. We have been long-time attendees of Saddleback Church (Adriana, 20 yrs, myself 8 yrs) and of late, I’ve felt as though I’ve been deficient of Iron in my spiritual diet. I feel as though I received a booster-shot over the last 2 weeks through your teaching and wanted to thank you for your dedication to teaching the truth, the whole truth and NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH!
