What’s Your Problem? #4
Sin & God's Temporary Concession — Romans 1:24-25

Sermon Recap

1. Virginia Dixon says:

There is no place like home!

Words cannot express the impact that your teaching has had on our lives over the past 10 years.  For the past few years life (primarily work/travel)  has taken our family on a different journey, but our heart has always been @ Compass…thank God for the internet!  When we are in town, every single time we get a change, we run home!  Thank you for your commitment and dedication to “faithfully”, “clearly”, and “simply”,

“teach” God’s Word!  What a contrast to much of the “commentary” we have periodically heard from other pastor’s topical “interpretation”  of what they “think” the Word means by what it “states”….
Over lunch, after leaving church a few Sundays ago, Morgan (17), Jordan (14), Caleb (10), Ray and I had our regular discussion about points you made during the message. Oh how I wish you could of heard the observations, comments, and thoughts that came out of their mouths, as they are “always” eager to recap and offer their opinions.  Something Morgan specifically said prompted me to write you this message…here it is:  “….I have “never” left church feeling anything but challenged, encouraged, and eager to apply the teaching…I only leave wanting a deeper understanding of so many things thing that I thought I understood,  but my understanding was obviously wrong…“

Know that you are salt and light in our lives and that our family deeply appreciates every deposit you make in our hearts and minds.
Although we do not have contact with you as often as we used to, know that your teaching continues to deeply influence all of our lives.  Perhaps, the day will soon come when our level of our active involvement in “practical” ministry of the church will resume.  Until then know that all that you have invested in us as our Pastor, by way of teaching, is bearing immeasurable fruit in evangelizing for the Kingdom.  More on this when life extends us the opportunity of a visit and a long chat!
Keep up the great work of speaking truth without compromise.
Most affectionately,
Virginia
