The event put on by Compass Bible Church offered guests free food, rides, games and music!

ALISO VIEJO, CA – November 1, 2012: Thousands of locals wanting to celebrate Halloween with their children came out to the annual Fall Fest event held last night at the Verizon Amphitheater in Irvine. The event which saw crowds in excess of 20,000 people was the largest held on Halloween night in South Orange County. Attendees enjoyed an all-free event serving up local favorites like In-n-Out and Chick-fil-A.

Compass enlisted the help of 800 volunteers from the church to work booths, cook hot dogs, greet people and pass out candy. Over the past month two tons of candy was collected by the church to fill the kids goodie bags. With two areas, one for the smaller kids and one for the bigger kids, children of all sizes and ages were kept entertained and safe throughout the evening.

Other vendors were on hand serving up Kettle corn, cotton candy, hot dogs and other snacks all completely free. The rides and attractions like the giant slide, rock climbing wall, laser tag and ferris wheel had kids in line the entire night.

“We have been amazed at the growth of this event over the last several years”, said Dr. Mike Fabarez, senior pastor of Compass Bible Church. “We’ve gone from 50 people in the basement of a church to thousands spread out over 10 acres in the Verizon Amphitheater parking lot. Many of the folks we spoke to said it was their favorite way to spend Halloween night. We look forward to hosting this event next year.”
