Compass Bible Church Controller
Job Summary:
Compass Bible Church is looking for a controller that will oversee the Church’s financial records and systems of accounting. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Non-Profit Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and Word, budgeting processes and have experience with outside payroll systems. The controller will also oversee quarterly financial statements and cost to budget reports. This is a full-time position with benefits and will report directly to the Compass CFO.

Compass Bible Institute Director of Marketing and Admissions
Job Summary:
Compass Bible Institute is looking for a full-time Director of Marketing and Admissions to support the development and execution of the Institute’s marketing, recruitment, enrollment, and retention. This position will work with the Provost to drive awareness of CBI’s unique value proposition and to manage the enrollment funnel from top to bottom.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the development of a comprehensive branding and marketing strategy to drive awareness, favorability, funding, enrollment, and retention.
- Design and implement market research to understand landscape, audiences, and hone CBI’s unique value proposition within the Christian higher educational space:
- Audience identification
- Audience segmentation
- Audience Journey mapping from awareness to acquisition to advocacy
- Develop and implement consistent branding that is aligned to CBI’s values, beliefs, and marketing goals.
- Create and lead execution of messaging and content strategy.
- Ideate, create, and curate relevant, personalized, and segmented creative storytelling.
- Develop innovative marketing campaigns to reach and educate audiences about CBI programs and opportunities through multiple channels and tactics including CBI’s website, drip email campaigns/CRM, search engine marketing, digital display, remarketing/retargeting, organic social, earned media, and paid media (print and digital).
- Track success and identify trends, opportunities, and gaps.
- Design and implement strategic recruitment and enrollment efforts, helping students through the enrollment funnel from “prospective” to “enrolled.”
- Plan and organize admissions events for prospective students and families.
- Ensure CBI is well represented at college fairs, conferences, and other key exposure opportunities.
- Develop recruiting strategies for finding a higher quantity of quality leads and contribute to the successful accomplishment of the Institute’s enrollment objectives.
- Provide leadership and management in admissions efforts including phone calls, text messages, and email correspondences, and personally pursue key recruiting opportunities.
- Optimize student retention by monitoring and analyzing enrollment each semester and helping students find and complete appropriate programs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with partner schools and churches.
Qualifications:
- Affirm the CBI Statement of Faith.
- Serve as a member of Compass Bible Church.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 3 years of experience in marketing, higher education admissions, or relevant fields.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills.
- Ability to create content and solve problems.
- Ability to work autonomously and efficiently and to manage multiple projects in a dynamic and deadline-driven atmosphere.
- Ability to analyze and present data related to content and campaign performance.
- Familiarity with software programs associated with website content (e.g. WordPress CMS), email (e.g. Constant Contact), social media management (e.g. HootSuite), and Google Analytics, along with other tools to measure user behavior.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and strategies.

Graphic Designer
Compass Bible Church is looking for a talented graphic designer to join our team in producing digital and print media that that supports our church’s mission to reach, teach and train disciples for Christ in South Orange County.
As a graphic designer at Compass, you will have the unique opportunity of creating engaging content that highlights the many events ministries of our church and Bible institute while contributing to a Communications Department that utilizes a wide range of digital technologies to reach others with the gospel message.
Job Duties:
- Create graphic media for all Compass Bible Church and Compass Bible Institute digital and print projects
- Responsible for taking graphic design projects from concept through production
- Organize and maintain Cloud-based creative sharing systems
- Maintain both asset library and print file version of product in a sharable manner, accessible by department
- Work closely with Communications Director to deliver high quality projects to ministry leaders by requested due dates
- Coordinate and create on-campus, stage and event-based design work
- Maintain quality control of all digital and print media
- Develop new ways to reach the community through digital and print advertising
- Work to create print media content that adheres to lay-out print/work room specifications per ministry
- Support Tech team with graphic requests for in-event display as assigned
- Assist various departments in creating PowerPoint/Keynote presentation decks as requested
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred, or equivalent experience required
- Experience in graphics concept ideation, design strategy, and execution
- Strong design fundamentals; solid typography, composition, and great attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of a variety of graphic design and interactive tools, including InDesign, illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and PowerPoint/Keynote
- Ability to mock-up ideas for evaluation and verification (including physical mock-ups)
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and work under time pressure deadlines
- Passion for visual design and learning new methods of designing digital experiences
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to clearly communicate plans and solutions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Part-Time Facilities Help
Part time Facilities workers needed. No prior experience required. Good pay and a great working environment. Although not required, at this time we would prefer those who are available to work week days some time between 8am-4:30pm. This would include those out of high school or those who are home schooled with flexible hours.
Serve in the Facilities Ministry while earning money at the same time.
