THE EDGE THEME BIBLE VERSE
“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” ESV Hebrews 4:12-13

EDGE QUARANTINE CHECK-IN
EDGE WINTER CAMP DEVOTIONAL
1) Re-read Colossians 3:17, our camp theme verse. What does doing “everything in the name of the Lord Jesus” mean? Think of an example of how you could do an ordinary everyday activity “in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
2) Read Psalm 29:2 and Romans 12:1. What does it mean that we as humans were made to worship God and why should we worship God at all? How have we failed to do that the way God meant for us to? What’s something in your life that you value or treasure more than God?
3) Read 1 John 2:6. Imitating and following Christ is one way Christians worship God; what needs to happen to a person before they can begin doing these things? (FOR PARENTS: Realize they need to be right with God, repent of their sin, put their trust in what Jesus has done for them, and then the Holy Spirit will give them a new heart which is able to begin imitating and following Jesus.)
4) Spend some time reading through Colossians 3:12-17 and write down some of the ways Christians are to imitate Christ. Think of examples of when Christ was compassionate, kind, and humble, etc. What’s one way you could imitate Christ this week?
