Katie was born and raised in New Jersey.  She graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education.  Katie and her husband, John, were married just after college graduation in 2000.  She taught first grade in NJ before moving to Southern California where she also taught first grade.  Since having children Katie has been home full time homeschooling their four children.  She has served in Alliance and AWANA / Kids Ministry since joining Compass Bible Church in 2020.
